Colours abound in this beautifully crafted recital from Aura Go. Introducing herself with The Fiddlers – a series of brief fantasias on old rustic folk dances by Finnish composer Einojuhani Rautavaara, notable for their neo-classical beauty, she will then launch us into Liza’s Lim’s Sema, inspired by ritualistic whirling Sufi dances. The centrepiece is Ravel’s glorious and evocative musical descriptions of his colleagues from the avant-garde artist group ‘Les Apaches’ in his loved work Miroirs.
